Rhinelander

The breed was created after World War II, when traditional heavy carriage and horse lines were transformed by selection towards sport riding blood. Crossbreeding with Hanoverians, Trakehners, Holsteiners and other warmbloods and thoroughbreds was used to develop it, giving the modern Rhinelander the necessary athleticism and versatility.
