Origin and history of the breed: The Czech Warmblood is a modern Czech breed of warmblood horse, which was created by selective breeding of native horses in the former Czechoslovakia since the mid-20th century. The breed is the most numerous breed of horse in the Czech Republic, making up approximately 23% of the domestic horse population.
