The Sardinian Anglo-Arab (Anglo-Arabo Sardo, Sardinian Anglo-Arab) is an Italian breed of riding horse from the island of Sardinia, which was created by systematically crossing local mares with Arabian, Anglo-Arabian and English Thoroughbreds in order to create a powerful, versatile and hardy sport horse. The breed has a rich tradition, especially in equestrian sports, and is used as a riding and competition horse, including triathlon (three-day eventing), show jumping, dressage and local palios.
