Freshwater skimmer Aquaforte Tornado III

The principle of skimming has been practiced in seawater for years. Thanks to the unique patented design of the Tornado protein skimmer, it is now possible to obtain proteins in fresh water. It works as follows: The surface of the air bubble attracts dissolved substances in the water. Chemicals, dirt particles, dyes and algae are concentrated by this attraction. The air is mixed with the water using a Venturi tube. The passage of this mixture through the filter material (bio-rings "KNS") results in a very long contact time between the air and the water. As a result, the surface tension of the water is constantly changing and a solid foam is formed. This foam is separated from the purified water by a perforated plate and removed. Parts of the impurities that have been removed from the water in this way are in the foam. It is also worth noting that substances dissolved in water such as phosphate, ammonia, dyes and proteins are filtered out of the water. This cannot be achieved with a conventional filter or can only be achieved by adding chemicals.
