The UVB 5.0 spectrum is suitable for animal species with an average need for UV radiation, which naturally occur in tropical areas - tropical forests, areas protected from direct sunlight. UVB causes effective synthesis of vitamin D3, while supporting calcium absorption and preventing metabolic diseases. The fluorescent lamp also emits UVA radiation, which stimulates appetite and reproductive behavior. The optimal radiation intensity decreases with use - we recommend changing the fluorescent lamp every 12 months.

When choosing a fluorescent lamp, choose appropriate lighting for the type of animal being kept and maintain a minimum distance between the emitter and the animal (15 cm), maximum range 40 cm.
