If your filter is having problems and the waste in your water is increasing, it is wise to start a treatment with photosynthetic bacteria, this gives your filter more time to start and peak, for example in the spring or after a treatment with drugs.

Photosynthetic Bacteria are grown in large quantities to digest organic matter and improve water quality, resulting in a better environment for your fish.

The bacteria in e.g. Filter Starter (gel) and BSO work mainly in a dark environment, photosynthetic bacteria work in the light, so there is no competition for the PSB and can be added indefinitely.

It also removes floating algae and toxins.
