There are two other bacteria in bactoplus:

AOB - converts ammonia to nitrite

NOB - converts nitrite to nitrate

Both processes take place using oxygen; therefore it is important that the water flowing through the filter is enriched with oxygen.
BactoPlus Filter Starter (gel) contains AOB and Nob in large quantities, up to 800 million bacteria per ml.

Advantages of Bactoplus red: faster start-up of the biological system, clearer water, increased resistance and lower stress levels of the fish.

Application / Information Bactoplus bacteria shorten the time for putting the filter into operation. What usually takes ± 6/8 weeks has now been shortened to three to four weeks at rising temperatures. Bactoplus bacteria emit a special odor into the bottle. This does not affect the functioning of the bacteria. Bactoplus bacteria are 100% natural and do not contain any chemicals and are free of pathogens. Keep out of reach of children.

Instructions: Bactoplus is used in the Start-up / maintenance of a new filter. We then recommend applying Bactoplus once in the spring 1 liter per 20,000 liters of pond water. Turn off the filter for a day and provide good aeration. Also make sure that the UV lamp or ozone is turned off for 24 hours.

After the start-up, Bactoplus can be added weekly or during filter maintenance (20 ml per 1000 liters of pond water).
