History and Origin

The Slovak Warmblood was created as a national breed:

the basis was local Slovak horses, a mixture with the English Thoroughbred, Czech Warmblood and German Warmblood breeds

goal: to create a versatile sport horse suitable for dressage, jumping and driving

the first registered horses appeared in the 20th century
