Since we are still solving many problems in aquariums, we will help you a little bit on how to avoid it. The beginnings are difficult and you can't let yourself be discouraged right away! Relaxation is important in these busy times and a well-established aquarium can give you that!

The most common problems in the aquarium!

1-A common mistake is overfeeding the fish.Feeding

Too much food in the aquarium is very harmful to the water.

The water values can quickly deteriorate and the nitrate level rises.

Fish poisoning follows.

2-It is best to buy fish gradually, a few pieces and at least a week apart. When choosing fish, take into account the size of the aquarium, the substrate and of course the water values which are determined by testing.

3-Regular water changes are essential in the beginning. When changing the water, we recommend changing about one third of the water weekly. When dewatering, never go unnecessarily deep into the substrate or gravel.

4-NEVER pour water from the bag into your aquarium when releasing new fish!! Algae, pathogens and parasites can get into the aquarium through the water.

5-An aquarium placed in such a way that it will be exposed to direct sunlight daily, significantly promotes algae growth!

6-Strong lighting, poor filtration, few plants, insufficient maintenance = the most common problems with algae! The problem does not always appear immediately... (I have had the light there for two weeks and until now it was fine, etc.) There are many products against algae, the one we have been most enlightened about is Algisin.

7- Wash your new plants well before planting them in the aquarium.
Remove as much cotton wool or gel as possible from them. This can protect the aquarium from unwanted inhabitants. A great way is to put the plants in the water for a few hours + Flora Carbo

8-A small aquarium, nice, easy and little work! NO! In fact, the larger the aquarium, the easier it is to obtain and maintain stable water values, especially for inexperienced people.

9- If you place natural materials that you find outside in your aquarium, they can spread unwanted bacteria, substances and pathogens in the water... You should always clean them properly, preferably with boiling water. If you want to be sure, it is better to buy natural materials in an aquarium store that have been treated.

10-One of the most important qualities in maintaining an aquarium is patience!!! Before placing fish in a newly established aquarium, you will have to wait at least 3 to 4 weeks. Older aquarists used filter materials from established aquariums to speed up the start-up, or substrates and part of the water from other functioning aquariums.

Currently, starter bacteria and bacteria for nutrient degeneration are also available, which are a great help in the beginning as a prevention against algae and high levels of harmful links

We believe that we have helped, we wish you much success.
