The filter material consists of individual bio helix particles that are constantly in motion. The ingenious air-lift system continuously moves the filter material and creates optimal contact of the water with the bacterial culture located on the filter material. In addition to this function, the air ensures intensive aeration and thus an optimal supply of oxygen to the biological processes in the filter.
