Colombo Bactuur FilterStart is essential for starting a biological filter. Whether it is a new filter or an existing filter that has been cleaned or rested over the winter, Colombo Bactuur FilterStart contains over 800 million nitrifying bacteria per milliliter.

Nitrifying bacteria are essential for optimal filter performance in a pond and will therefore create a healthy environment for fish and plants.

Colombo Bactuur FilterStart Instructions for use: -

If you are starting a new pond or have detected elevated levels of ammonia or nitrite, pour 40 ml per 1000 liters of water into the filter, every day for 5 consecutive days.

If the water temperature is below 10 degrees Celsius, the dosage should be doubled.

Maintenance dose: 20 ml per 1000 liters of water every week.

1000ml is for a single use for 25000L of water.

When the filter is first started, a 5-day treatment is sufficient for 5000L of water
