Algisin works against filamentous algae in ponds. Thanks to its strength, filamentous algae are quickly removed within a few days of using this product. Excess algae can be removed with a fine-mesh net. The remaining residues are removed naturally and collected in the filter.
Algisin, when used correctly, is safe for plants and fish, which makes it a top product against algae
Note: When using Algisin on algae, remove as much dead residue as possible in the shortest possible time. This can best be achieved by removing larger parts with a landing net. Smaller residues will be removed by the bacteria from Colombo Bactuur Clean.
If you do not do this, you risk low oxygen levels in the water, rotting algae residues and deterioration of the PH quality.
Combination: Combination with other products is at your own risk!
The product is registered: 100/DD/23-S
Characteristics:
Algae belong to lower plants. In ponds, they compete with underwater and aquatic plants for nutrients and light. They multiply quickly and cause problems in ornamental ponds.
Floating algae - are microscopic, single-celled algae that float on the surface. Floating algae make the water green and cloudy. As a result, fish and plants receive little light.
Filamentous algae - are algae attached to the sides and bottom of the pond, forming large clumps.
Recommended dosage:
15 ml per 300 l of pond water.
100 ml per 1,000 l of pond water.
250 ml per 2,500 l of pond water.
1,000 ml of the product per 10,000 l of pond water.
2,500 ml per 25,000 l of pond water.
5,000 ml for 50,000 l of pond water.
Instructions for use:
Algae problems are often caused by poor water quality. Before applying the veterinary product, the water must be tested and adjusted to the correct parameters. During application of the product, activated carbon and zeolite must be removed from the filter; ozonizers and UV sterilizers must be turned off.
The package contains a dosing spoon.
Dosage:
1 spoon (15 ml) for 300 l of pond water. For the desired result, two treatments are required with an interval of at least 14 days.
Prepare the concentrate - mix the required amount of Colombo Algisin with pond water in a bucket and then spread evenly over the pond surface.
After using Colombo Algisin, algae will die and must be removed; the best way to do this is with nitrifying bacteria, a sufficiently large filter and a vacuum cleaner.
If dead algae are not removed from the pond, they decompose, resulting in low oxygen levels in the pond.
